Well, what a night! Explaining Science Publishing officially launched on Friday night, at a party attended by a lot of wonderful people. Founder and director Jack Challoner spoke about the company’s vision, introduced our first two books and read an extract from The Diary of Curious Cuthbert. Introducing Jack was Anna Starkey, creative director of We The Curious (formerly known as At-Bristol). She was as excited about our new company as we are about the reinvention of that wonderful science centre.
Prosecco flowed, cheese was consumed, wonderful live jazz was provided by Simon Greening (saxophone) and John Lambert (piano), dancing was had and all our stock of books sold out. We couldn’t have hoped for a better way to launch our company, and we would like to thank everyone who came and supported us (and had a good time, we hope). Here are a few images of that night (kindly provided by photographer James Barke).
